Candy
is out.
Cans
are in.
What holiday could be better than Halloween? Costumes, candy, creepy vibes, more candy. But while some are out grabbing handfuls of sweets, millions of people are struggling to get anything to eat.
Spooky, right?
Enter, the Trick-Or-Canned-Goods Club—where we're flipping the script on Halloween and trading candy for cans. It's simple: instead of knocking on doors and shouting "trick-or-treat," we ask our neighbors to give us canned goods already in their pantries, which we pass along to our local food bank.
Say less. I'm in. →Food insecurity:

Ready to trade treats for eats?
Here's how.
- Pledge to join the campaign.
- Spread the word. Encourage your friends, family, school, and community to get involved by collecting cans instead of candy this Halloween.
- Go Trick-Or-Canned-Good-ing. On Halloween night, go door to door saying “Trick or Canned Goods!” and gather as many non-perishable items as you can.
- Donate. Drop off the collected items at your local food bank. You can find your closest one by clicking here.
- Gorge yourself on self-satisfaction knowing you're a hungry-slaying hero.

They put the OG in TOCG
Jackson and Eloise are the OGs of the TOCG Club — two siblings who realized Halloween was basically the perfect setup for do-goodery. People are already opening their doors for trick-or-treaters… so why not ask for canned goods, too? What started as a clever little "wait a second…" turned into a kids-for-kids movement that helps local families while still keeping all the fun, costumes, candy, and neighborhood chaos intact.
